I feel as if I’ve lived a million adventures, each one a story to be told.
I grew up scribbling down lyrics from songs I loved, recording them from the radio onto my cassette player. I studied the poetry, the patterns, the alliteration, and the rhymes. As a child, I’d lie in bed, listening to songs that told stories of love, pain, loss, remorse, excitement, and sadness—wondering what it would feel like to experience those emotions. I’d get lost in the late-night dedications on Delilah’s show, imagining a heartbroken soul longing for What Might Have Been (Little Texas).
If you think my songs or writings are about you, they are. If you think my songs and writings are about me, they are. I write from emotions, experiences, and stories that connect us all.
I write for the me who once sat on the floor in rural Michigan, carefully jotting down the lyrics to Two Sparrows in a Hurricane (Tanya Tucker). I write for the me who is full of love and hope. I write for the me who’s wrestled with life's tragedies, tangled in anxiety and uncertainty. I write to dance and I write to sing.
I write because sometimes, I don’t know what else to do but write.
I use AI tools to create my music. Feel free to contact me if you want to collaborate.
